One-To-One Executive Coaching

Client: Senior Manager, Global Pharmaceuticals

Situation: The client wanted to further develop his self-awareness and confidence at work following a personal development review. He had decided to use coaching rather than conventional training although he was fairly sceptical about the likely impact.

One of our coaches worked with him one-to-one for four months. The coaching focussed on developing a heightened self-awareness, especially of his core values and beliefs.

Client: European CEO, Global PR Company

Situation: The CEO wanted to take his leadership to the next level. Already successful in his role, he was aware that he could be even more effective and fulfilled if he changed some of his habits and dispelled some of the limiting beliefs he held about himself. He had received some unsuccessful coaching previously and was therefore fairly cynical on first meeting.

One of our coaches worked with him one-to-one for six months. The focus of each session varied from enhancing communication skills to develop a raft of relationships, to improving life balance, to deepening self-belief and confidence in order to deal with challenging situations with less stress and greater impact.

Team Development

Client: Head of Business Development, UK High Street Clearing Bank

Situation: The heads of two key commercial departments wanted to improve the way their teams performed when working together, with a focus on ensuring best use of each individuals' particular strengths.

We designed and led a bespoke workshop for the teams which enabled them to explore the objectives for each team, discuss different perspectives, and create a vision for the future of the wider team's performance. This was supplemented with opportunities to learn and practice a variety new ways of communicating with one another, and commit to specific actions for which individuals would be held accountable by one another.

Client View Of The Results: "I have no doubt that the day led to an enhanced level of team working. The day, 'Bridging The Gap' proved pertinent in helping the two teams to better understand each others objectives and the prioritising necessary to achieve these. Additionally, the day helped to highlight the skills and qualities required in both teams and led to a number of 'best practice' suggestions. I was particularly impressed as to the thoroughness with which the brief was researched beforehand, including the profiling of the individuals taking part. Without doubt this assisted greatly in understanding the dynamics of the day and to respond to outputs throughout the session."

Client: Inspector, Thames Valley Police

Situation: Following the introduction of mandatory leadership training for new officers the client wanted to introduce an alternative approach to leadership and team development for those officers not included in the new programme.

We designed and led a bespoke workshop for two teams of officers which focussed primarily on the development of new communication techniques within and between the teams in order to improve their team performance and skills at managing their people.
