Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Teams
What does MBTI bring to team development?
The MBTI® psychometric tool provides individuals and teams with a powerful insight into their own and others' preferences for source of energy, gathering information, decision-making, and lifestyle.
The MBTI® tool provides a framework for understanding human behaviour and a language to discuss that behaviour in constructive terms. Our team building workshop based on MBTI® helps individuals understand their preferred working style and learn how to work with others in a more effective and positive way.
In this team workshop we combine theory with team exercises and group review. The day begins with the process of team building using the MBTI® profiles. It provides a common foundation and language for individuals and teams to build more positive relationships and include each others preferences and strengths.
The MBTI® tool is a powerful team building resource and using the MBTI® tool with teams can:
- generate greater openness and trust
- improve communication while increasing productivity
- acknowledge diversity and encourage appreciation of differences
- identify blind spots and help members anticipate them
- show members how to value and capitalise on each others' strengths
Our team-building workshops are specifically tailored to the needs of the organisation. Each attendee will complete an online MBTI® questionnaire prior to the training day. The data is compiled and an MBTI® report created for each participant, and the team. We analyse these reports and customise the learning activities for your team building workshop based on the range of profiles. Individuals will also receive an individual report for their ‘best-fit’ type.
